Sunbeam Pendant

Sunbeam Pendant
A beautiful sunbeam necklace.
From the Blue Sky collection.
The idea that the blue sky is always there, is an idea I always try and remember. Whenever times get tough or you’re having a low day, this is always something I try and keep in mind.
On a recent trip, I felt this in all its glory. A friend and I started a hike at 6am. It was cold wet and cloudy. We couldn’t see a thing as we persevered through the mist. As we climbed up and up we ascended literally through the mist and cloud and out the other side, into what was glorious blue sky and sunshine beaming. From here we were then looking down on the cloud, like we were in a plane. As cheesy as it sounds, I had a rush of endorphins and was reminded well and truly, that the blue sky actually IS always there.
Call it a spiritual experience or what you will, but I knew I had to capture this feeling creatively. I knew I wanted to make something I could carry round with me and serve as a constant reminder that the blue sky truly is always there.
The sketches fell onto the page and I immediately got to work, making miniature scenes to capture this.
These pieces aren’t only for those who want this reminder too, but for those with a love of nature, mountains and reminder that life is short, we’ve got to enjoy it!
Sterling silver/ gold vermeil. Set with citrine.
Measures approx 1cm across.
